In this monochromatic painting, the primary investigation is the relationship between foreground and background. The volume of the rhombus at the top moves into the white linear background suggesting a forward motion that seems improbable given its lightweight structure. Additionally, blocks of the white background shift into the horizon space recording traces of their physical presence. These imprints record the slowness of the passing of time—the difference in the perception and movement of time from one element in nature to another.
