Recently, I have been thinking about the idea of the depicition of space as another element that can be expanded upon within my practice. By deconstructing the rectangular structure into a trapezoidal space, the juxtaposition of the rigid element (lines marking the passing of day and night into seasons and years) and the circular element (daylight entering through the pigment refracting a cosmos) accentuates the dichotomy of cosmological truths and perspectives.
